The anime follows their transformation into the holoWitches, magical girls tasked with combating a sinister phenomenon. When people succumb to anxiety and stress, their souls can be drawn into Holocas World in a state called Yumeochi. This negativity gives birth to monstrous entities known as Collapsers.

Armed with magical powers, the holoWitches battle these creatures to save the lost souls and restore hope.
